Wheels - Useful information What to do in the event of an accident?
In the event of an accident involving your motorcycle:
- Stop immediately
- Determine the nature and extend of all damage and injuries
- If any person has been injured or killed, call the police or an ambulance immediately, otherwise
- Report the accident to the police within 24 hours - make a note of the case number
- Record the scene of the accident with simple sketches and if possible, take photographs
- Do not move your motorcycle unless:
- a police officer is on the scene
- you are certain there is no one injured
- The point of impact is marked on the road, and you have made your sketches
- Give your contact and motorcycle details to anyone who has reasonable grounds for needing this information. Similarly, obtain details of other people involved including witnesses.
- Avoid admitting fault or liability
- Inform your intermediary of the accident without delay or contact WHEELS
Towing
If your motorcycle needs to be towed away from the accident scene, use one of the AA registered towing companies.
What to do in the event of theft or hi-jack
- Contact our specialist recovery contractors KVTR immediately on their toll-free number 0800 434 996. The 24 hour toll-free emergency number will enable you to report immediately any theft or hi-jack.
- KVTR will respond immediately and will notify the SAPS. The quicker the incident is reported, the better the chances are of recovery of any stolen machine.

You will be required to complete a claim form which you can obtain from your intermediary or directly from WHEELS.
Approved racetrack cover There is NO cover unless pre-arranged on an individual basis per event. No racing and / or transponders (lap times) will be allowed.
